Welcoming and dynamic, this is how the bastide town of Valence-d'Agen, founded in 1283, appears today. Characterised by a large number of squares, market halls and promenades which give it a very airy appearance, the town still has some beautiful remains in the old centre, but the three little "treasures" of the town are its washhouses. A commercial town with two lungs that are the Tuesday and Saturday markets, it vibrates every summer with its sound and light show "Au fil de l'eau... une histoire" with more than 400 extras and thousands of spectators, and every winter with its very nice circus festival
