Starting from Montech, this 11 km route can be walked or cycled and takes you south of Montauban in about 10 km.
Walk along the water between Montauban and Montech, this itinerary is 11 km long and can be done on foot or by bike. Flat and easy to access, it runs along the Montech canal, which links the Tarn and Montauban to the Garonne canal. During your walk, you will discover a unique work in the world: the Montech Water Slope, a boat elevator installed on the Garonne's lateral canal. These former towpaths have been converted into a secure bicycle path, labeled a greenway in 2017.
