Known as the "city of hats", Caussade employed up to 3,000 people during the golden age of hat-making in the early 20th century. Whether it's a boater, Borsalino, cap or ceremonial hat, hats continue to play an important role in the town's economy (three factories still exist). A Protestant town during the Wars of Religion, it is now a bustling market town, renowned for its unmissable Monday morning market, a place to trade, meet people and discover the flavours of Quercy. Discover the Rue de la République, the 13th-century Tour d'Arles, the Thouron fountain and the church steeple.
