Castelnau-de-Montmiral (the mountain from which you can see) is a formidable vantage point overlooking a large part of the Vère basin, its valleys, green hills, vineyards and meadows. The medieval town is one of France's most beautiful villages, and rightly so! Lovers of history and tales of chivalry will discover legends and relics of the past as they wander through its ancient streets. Not to be missed are the Place des Arcades, lined with 17th-century mansions and surrounded by cutlery, and the 13th-century Porte des Garrics (known as the Porte des Chênes).
