Sousceyrac-en-Quercy is a new French commune grouping together five communes: Sousceyrac, Calviac, Comiac, Lacam-d'Ourcet and Lamativie. In the heart of the Ségala region, at the crossroads of Quercy and Cantal, Sousceyrac is a town with proud vestiges of its past. Sights worth seeing include the Carrayrat, an ancient main street lined with old houses, the Notre-Dame and Saint-Antoine gates providing access to the old town, and a 14th-century coaching inn, l'Ostal del Patje. The village is also famous for being the setting of Pierre Benoît's novel Le Déjeuner de Sousceyrac.
