Maison Louis Roque is the fruit of a family tradition, a passion that has been passed on for 5 generations. It was established in 1905 in Souillac by Louis Roque. Many products are made here, including Vieille Prune, which is now considered one of the ambassadors of the Lot. Other liqueurs, regional aperitifs, creams and brandies, fruits in jars, condiments... are made there. Also on sale are a range of carafes and gift boxes. You can't come to Souillac without visiting Louis Roque!

Owner's Message LOUIS-ROQUE DISTILLERY

The Roque family has been distillers from father to son since 1835. Louis, the third generation of burners, decided in 1905 to set up his own business in Souillac, in the place of a former convent. The young man quickly became the local specialist in plum brandies...
His know-how was quickly recognised and Louis Roque began to distil plum "perries" on his own account, supplied by the farmers of the region. He keeps his production in old oak barrels where the alcohol ages slowly, under supervision.
In his cellars scattered around the town, he devoted himself to maturing and meticulous blending, and his house in the heart of Souillac served as a sales outlet.
He became a local celebrity and married one of his daughters to Count Duffour de Raymond.
It was she who took over the house on the death of the creator, ensuring that her father's precepts were scrupulously respected right up to his last days.
This know-how, passed down for five generations, ensures the continuity of the Distillery, which has been housed in a building with character since 1995
