Saint-Pierre-Lafeuille is the northern gateway to the Pays de Cahors. The village, situated on a ridge, offers a beautiful view over the Lot valley, the Causse and the Bouriane. Witness to this strategic location is the 13th-century château fort de Roussillon, listed as a Monument Historique in 1929, now privately owned and available to rent for events or bed & breakfast. Ravaged by the ravages of history, it has been restored since 1958, when the Mailhol family bought the site. Saint-Pierre-Lafeuille in its present form is very recent, having been created on January 12, 1951, by separating from neighboring Maxou.
