Léobard, located between Salviac and Gourdon, overlooks the Céou valley to the north, a tributary of the Dordogne. On the opposite bank, don't miss the Abbaye-Nouvelle, Léobard's treasure. A daughter abbey of Aubazine Abbey in Corrèze, it was founded in the 13th century by Cistercian monks. Completely devastated by centuries, wars and the ravages of time, the ancient abbey church is still standing today, but in ruins and open to all winds. You come here to experience a very special atmosphere, in this remote location, where the wind and the birds are the only inhabitants of this medieval stone carcass.
