Located at the crossroads of several streams, Aynac was a seigniorial village during the first century. In the 15th century and for another 500 years, it was held by the Viscount of Turenne and his lineage. Unlike many small villages in the Lot, Aynac was relatively untouched by the Hundred Years War and the religious wars that followed. Then, during the Second World War, it was a place of active resistance and a central point of exchange between the maquisards of the Causse and those of the Ségala. Today, it is the quietness which reigns there, it is pleasant to walk along its ponds and to discover the two castles located in its perimeter
