Museum presenting real treasures from prehistory to the Middle Ages through ceramics, ancient pottery and axes.
True treasures from prehistory to the Middle Ages have been discovered in the commune of Maubourguet. The 250 m² of the museum go back in time through ceramics, ancient pottery, axes, bifaces, monetary treasures, sarcophagus and medieval cloister. The most prestigious piece is undoubtedly the incredible Gallo-Roman mosaic of the god Ocean, a legacy of breathtaking artistic skill. A true ode to mythology, this decoration was discovered in 1979 in the district of Saint-Girons. A 25-minute slide show and a booklet retrace its discovery.

Super musée avec documentaire très explicatif et les panneaux renseigne bien .Belle pièces entreposées avec suces et la mosaïque du dieu océan et un succès de l'archeologie et pour le patrimoine.Les prix sont plus que correct .Bravo!Je vous recommane si vous êtes la pour une journee de commençais le musée le matin puis de faire l apres midi une balade archeologique a Saint-Lézer .
