Le Mas-d'Agenais is a charming village with a magnetic history. This Roman town was a Catholic stronghold of Saint Vincent who, not far from there, in Vernemetis (the present Caumont-sur-Garonne) performed his miracles, including that of the flaming wheel coming out of the water full of vigor... A modern miracle if ever there was one, the discovery in Mas-d'Agenais of two real masterpieces of art! A Venus that can be admired in the Museum of Fine Arts in Agen and a painting by Rembrandt from the 17th century that can be seen in the church. Le Mas-d'Agenais is also a very pleasant nautical stop. Don't leave without seeing the old wheat market and its wooden pillars.
