Eric Lestable represents the third generation of confectioners in Cauterets. He has kept the traditional method and works entirely by hand. He invites you in his workshop to assist to the manufacturing of his berlingots. The success of these sweets is due to a delicate balance between the mixture of water, sugar and flavored glucose syrup. Once cooked, the mixture is poured on a marble table for cooling and cutting. The other specialities are the "crottes d'isard", the "cabrotin", the "délice" or the "boule-de-neige"... Delicious!

At Berlingot Marinette, all the flavor of the candies of the past is declined through fruity or chocolate recipes which make the happiness of the children and the adults. In the store, you will discover no less than 25 flavors: from blackcurrant to licorice, passing by pine sap, chestnut, cola or salted butter caramel: one does not know where to turn! The "crotte d'isard" is a confectionery that Eric will make you discover! This chocolate-covered almond is perfectly in line with the sweets for which we run, indeed!

The production of the berlingots is totally artisanal and the ingredients that compose them are 100% natural. Several times a day, the master of the place makes the famous candies under your eyes and allows you to taste these delights for free. More than 40 flavors are available: chocolate, thyme-sage-rosemary, honey, nougat-pistachio, verbena, lavender, coconut, poppy, angelica mint, caramel-almond, apricot-mandarin, passion fruit... The store "La Reine Margot" also offers other local or homemade sweets.
