Notice to the athletes! This is a mountain Green Lane, which is above the authorized standard for Green Routes - you will face slopes at 5.3%, sometimes more, the maximum altitude is 913 m: good lungs requested! The whole ground is stabilized, however, and it is mainly the old railway track, closed since 1949, that you follow. On the mountain side you cross bridges and lit tunnels and can even continue to Lourdes, thanks to the Green Lane of the Gaves. The descent takes place in about 2:30 a. m. and the rise in 3:15 a. m. Occasional cyclists, so forget this path, unless you leave your bike to walk on foot the steep road called "Travelers Road". The reward deserves a little sweat: beautiful views await you.
