With 770 inhabitants it is one of the most populated villages in the Pays des Coteaux. Facing the Pyrenees mountain range and nestled at the foot of the Tournay hills, Bordes benefits from a privileged exposure that gives it a climate of an appreciated sweetness. With an average altitude of 270 metres, the village extends over a thousand hectares. While being close to Tournay and home to a town centre with beautiful bigourdine urban buildings, this commune shelters important natural areas and isolated farms with traditional architecture of great beauty. Bordes sees the Arros pass under a magnificent double-arch brick and pebble bridge, making up a romantic site appreciated by local residents who come to picnic and soak their feet in it. In this area, you will enjoy many hiking trails in a peaceful and green countryside with magnificent views of the mountains. Bordes benefits from the presence of a pizzeria-grocery store formerly known as Vival. Also a post office, a library, two hairdressers, a tennis court and building craftsmen. A lively and charming village.
