Lafitte sur Lot, as its name indicates, is located in this beautiful valley of the Lot and is crossed by the brook of Saint-Philip and the brook of Cabanes in addition to the Lot. The village does not have a rich heritage in particular, but a historic building is located there, namely the castle Saint Sauveur which is still distinguished by its history marked by the influence of the Protestant religion. This Renaissance dwelling with its staircase tower has been listed as a historical monument since 13 January 2000. In fact, Lafitte sur Lot is distinguished from other villages by its strong Protestant identity celebrated in the dedicated church
