Aragnouet is nestled in the heart of the Aure valley, at the crossroads of several important places and infrastructures. It is linked to Spain by the cross-border tunnel, which was opened in 1976. It is also very close to the economic lung of the town: the winter sports resort of Piau-Engaly. This resort has one of the longest opening periods in the Pyrenees with natural snow cover throughout the season. But, above all, the village is located a few steps away from the Pyrenees National Park and the Néouvielle National Nature Reserve. As for the architecture, don't miss the Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption-du-Plan chapel, classified as a historical monument.
