Hidden behind the Capitol, Au Gascon has existed for more than thirty years. Its light slate and its well stocked plates make it a popular meeting place for lovers of regional products and those with a good fork. Large tables can accommodate groups of up to two hundred guests. Ideal for family reunions! On the menu, a generous cuisine that brings to life the flavours of the South West, with foie gras, Toulouse sausage and Toulouse cassoulet. As a representative of the Gers, the Gascon of course offers you many variations of the duck! The atmosphere is good-natured, a bit rustic like sometimes country inns... and one feels good there!

A great restaurant to try Toulouse local dishes. Being a tourist in Toulouse, I wanted to try an iconic dish of the south-west, Cassoulet, and this restaurant has its own version, Cassoulet Chef. I loved it. The portion was really generous for a small eater like myself, so you could even share it with others. I chose a set menu (3 course) that costed 29 euros, and it is really worth it. Highly recommend to those who want to experience local cuisines at a less intimidating atmosphere.
