If, like more and more French people, you travel by coach, you'll be passing through Toulouse via the Pierre-Sémard station. It's located right next to the train station, a ten-minute walk from the city center and accessible by metro. A particularly busy hub, it is home to major regional, national and international airlines. It is currently undergoing a major facelift to provide renovated facilities, easier access for people with reduced mobility, a wifi connection, a waiting room and a catering outlet...

Tisséo manages the agglomeration's entire local transport network. The network currently includes two metro lines (with a third planned), two tramway lines, one of which has just been extended to the new MEETT exhibition center, numerous bus routes and a transport-on-demand service. Accessibility for wheelchair users is ensured by ramps, wide passageways and elevators. The bus network is gradually being modernized to offer a dozen Linéo lines: a service between the bus and the streetcar that serves major residential, employment and business hubs, with increased frequency and extended opening hours. Single tickets and Pastel card top-ups are available at every streetcar station and stop. It's also possible to buy your ticket directly on board your bus, but beware: it will cost you a little more. Smart tip: the Ticket Easy app lets you buy and validate your ticket with your smartphone, and the Tisseo app lets you top up your Pastel card. If you arrive in Toulouse by train, you will disembark at the Matabiau station. It is a ten-minute walk from the city centre and is served by the metro. The bus station is nearby and there is a connection with the airport shuttle. The station offers many services: reception of young travellers, lockers, lost and found, ticket machines, restaurants, wifi and power points, identity photos, photocopies... and of course, a ticket office!

Flixbus offers long-distance travel throughout France and Europe. A good idea for Toulousians who want to travel at a smart price, as well as for tourists who organize a tour stopping in the pink city. Good to know: in order to avoid the constraints of driving around the city with your car, the Tisséo transport network provides 7 park-and-ride facilities at the termini of its metro lines, as well as at the busiest stations. Please note, however, that these parking lots are not supervised.

The transport network of the Occitanie region is united under the name of liO. Ideal to discover the regional heritage. Among the regular intercity bus lines, choose your destination, often inaccessible by train. The fare offers allow everyone to enjoy the region without a car, at a very, very smart price, around 2 euros per trip! You can pay via your smartphone for you and your family members, but everyone must have a ticket.

The city of Toulouse has 18 covered and supervised parking lots, operated by Indigo, 11 of which are in the city center. Parking in Toulouse is complicated, so even if the rates are high, they can help you make the most of your shopping day or discovery of the city. Monthly, quarterly or yearly subscriptions are available, with special rates for residents. Toulouse's Arnaud-Bernard district is a trendy and lively place. Its medieval streets and colorful houses offer a picturesque atmosphere. The 11th-century Saint-Sernin basilica dominates the district. History buffs can also visit the Musée Saint-Raymond, which exhibits Roman and Celtic antiquities. Students from Toulouse 1 Capitole University can be found on the terraces of the bars in Place Saint-Pierre, facing the Garonne, as well as in the discotheques with DJs and live music. The streets are full of independent boutiques. The first weld rail of the Toulouse tramway was carried out on 19 June 2008. This line will connect Toulouse (Les Arenas) to Blagnac and Beauzelle (Andromeda district). It will be connected to line A of the subway, line C (TER) and bus lines. The commissioning is planned for 2010… this will allow us time to talk about it with more details.

The buses of the liO-Arc-en-ciel network take you all over the department: fifty-five regular lines serve more than three hundred communes. They are supplemented by ten lines that allow you to travel to neighbouring departments and Spain. In addition, five special "Fairs and Markets" lines take you to the Comminges region! All coaches are accessible to wheelchair users. This clever transport solution gives Toulouse residents the opportunity to discover, without a car and for a small fee, cities such as Granada, Nailloux, Fonsorbes, Auterive, Revel... Vélô Toulouse provides self-service city bicycles for use by people aged 14 and over. There are 250 stations throughout the city, spaced out every 300 meters or so. It's easy to use: via a terminal and using your bank card. At the terminal, you'll be asked to authorize a €150 deposit. It's rare not to be able to find something to go around, as the stations are manned by staff who recharge the batteries. Good to know: the AllBikeNow application lets you check availability at each station in real time.

The network liO aims at uniting the territories of the Occitanie region through a rich transport service. In operation since September 2018, the public service combines rail and road travel in all 13 departments in the region, including Herat. Its brand reinforces the idea of a territorial alliance and allows offering more diverse and modern modes of transport to locals. The network supports regular intercity bus lines, school transport lines, regional rail services (the TER) and the Multimodal Exchange Centres (MEPs).
