Located at the transition between the Toulouse and Muretain regions, Plaisance-du-Touch takes its name from the Occitan language, Plasença deu Teuch, and from a river that crosses it, a tributary of the Garonne, the Touch. An ancient bastide founded in the Middle Ages, it is located west of Toulouse. This dynamic and pleasant town offers to see the church of Saint-Barthélémy and its wall-belfry, typical of the region, whose first works date back to the 14th century, as well as the bridge over the Touch, a brick bridge of the 18th century, classified as a historical monument. Its situation is interesting as a starting point to discover the region, while being close to Toulouse.
