The commune of Colayrac-Saint-Cirq has had an eventful history. Razed in 1351 by Charles II king of Navarre, it was also a transit area during the Hundred Years War and the Wars of Religion. With a little more than 3,000 inhabitants, it is today a charming stopover to contemplate its superb Immaculate Conception church as well as the church of Saint-Cirq-et-Sainte-Julitte and its bell-tower-wall.
