The earliest traces of life on the Vic-Fezensac site date back to the Neolithic period, between 8000 and 5000 B.C. They were found on the Saint-Jean-de-Castets site, on the road to Riguepeu. Today, with its half-timbered houses, 12th-century church and stone-arched market, Vic-Fezensac retains some of the picturesque treasures of the Gers. The town is also known for its bullfighting, with toros taking pride of place at the Whitsun feria. In July, the Tempo Latino festival brings the town alive with Latin dance. In summer, a night market brings together local producers and hawkers to liven up the evenings.
