Built between the 11th and 14th centuries, castelnau de Tillac is one of the rarest castles in the Gers. Although the castle of the Counts of Pardiac is no longer standing, you can still make out a few vestiges of the fortified enclosure as you stroll through the village. Despite its simplistic layout, it remains a picturesque village with a 14th-century church, half-timbered roofs and facades and two medieval towers. It deserves a place on the list of the "Most Beautiful Villages in France". Despite its undeniable charm, the village is becoming increasingly depopulated: at the time of the 2020 census, there were just 283 inhabitants.
