In the 11th and 12th centuries, a small ecclesiastical village grew up around the former abbey of the Sorèze monks. It was fortified in the 14th century and became home to the Count of Astarac. Today, Saramon is a peaceful and charming rural town, with a beautiful covered square, old houses and a very special church. A magret fair closes the Saint-Victor patron saint's day in May: from midday to midnight, magrets crackle on the barbecues and you're won over by the convivial atmosphere that reigns in the main square. In summer, the leisure park offers a wide range of activities for the whole family.
