The Chemin du Puy enters the Gers at Saint-Antoine-Pont-d'Arrats. Its small church still preserves an "arm of justice" with its relic of Saint Anthony. We can see the imprint of the Antonine monks and their efforts to feed the pilgrims, thanks to the mill on the Arrats, and to house them in their commandery on the Agen-Lectoure road, probably one of the first annexes of the one in Toulouse. The whole thing is still standing, while the bridge is now a ruin. In 1776, Pius VI abolished the Antonines. Their property was passed on to the Hospitallers of St John of Jerusalem before being seized during the Revolution, while the hospital disappeared.
