This small castelnau, which now exceeds 500 inhabitants, was founded at the beginning of the th century by the lords of Roquelaure, who marked the surrounding castles, such as the magnificent Lavardens. Roquelaure still has vestiges of its own and its ramparts but also some old elements such as beautiful stone houses, Tour tower and many elements of small heritage such as wells, fountains, crosses, mills… Its Gothic church church in Gothic style holds a th century altarpiece and a th century tomb. The village was mostly built on the location of an old town: The places apparently occupied since Neolithic are still the subject of archaeological excavations. Among other things, the ruins of a Gallo-Gallo villa, the remains of Roman baths and also a beautiful fresco of Bacchus preserved at the Jacobins Museum in Auch were found. The village promises many discoveries loaded with history!
