Just 10 km from Auch, this rural village is crossed by the Gers and Arçon rivers. Spread over two ridge lines, the heart of the village is said to have been built on the remains of an ancient Roman villa. The ruins of a medieval château are still visible, including the remains of a tower, fortifications and moat. The church of Saint-Étienne boasts a bell-wall typical of the region. It was remodeled in the 16thcentury and features a beautiful gilded wooden altarpiece. The fortified farmhouses and dovecotes dotting the countryside, the old mill on the banks of the Gers and the horseshoeing loom bear witness to a rural past that is still very much alive.
