This village of 800 inhabitants is integrated in the area of attraction of Toulouse. The pink city is only 30 minutes away. Like many of the communes of the Gers, it was born in the 13th century from the parage between Bernard I of Marestang and the chapter of the cathedral of Saint-Etienne de Toulouse. The fief extended over a small area between L'Isle-Jourdain and Samatan called Cogotois. During the Revolution, the valiant Viscount of Cogotois took refuge in Spain. His property was confiscated and sold. The territory of Monferran-Savès has many castles of the 18th century while a very old statue of a pilgrim welcomes you at the entrance of the Saint-Louis church.
