The village was built on an ancient castral site of the 15th century. It still has some vestiges of its past, including the ruins of the old castle and some sections of fortifications. The tower of Luzan, partially ruined, is one of them. It has a particular charm, with its machicolation and its ogival door. But the most astonishing building is the Romanesque church Saint-Martin d'Heux, built in the 13th century. With it, the concept of wall-belfry takes all its sense. Its interior, which evokes the simplicity of an old farm, is entirely painted. Not far away, the hamlet of Heux is home to one of the best Côtes-de-Gascogne wineries
