It is an original manor house that was built on a church village. Its plan, composed of elongated islets, stretches its four parallel streets along the top of the hill. No proper place, but in the central island, a beautiful hall. The old houses are extremely well restored. From the Celtic «ju» meaning tree and «guen» meaning wine, Jegun is also the city of wine. To reinforce this trend, the city is twinned with Bennwhir in Alsace; a glorious blend of wine-growing cultures.
