Between Condom and Eauze, in the heart of a region of vineyards steeped in history, Gondrin owes its name to a Visigoth chief, Gundring. In the 17th century, the Marquise de Montespan, wife of Louis-Henri de Pardaillan-Gondrin, became the favorite of King Louis XIV. She had Le Nôtre design a park and a circular pond for the city of her husband. The current promenades and swimming pool date from this period. To visit, the central street with its covered houses, the beautiful wash-house of Lasdoutz and the sanctuary of Notre-Dame-de-Tonneteau with its 15th century chapel, nestled in a park of secular trees.
