Cézan is a typical little Gers commune situated between Fleurance and Valence-sur-Baïse. Surrounded by fields of mustard or wheat, the village has a postcard profile with its large square houses with red tile roofs arranged in a circle around its church. The village was once fortified, as was Larressingle, but only a few traces of the ramparts remain and are visible at the end of the main street. The massive square tower of the church of Sainte-Eulalie also had a defensive role in addition to ringing the bells that marked the day. Today the village has just over 220 inhabitants.
