It is in the VIth century that this place would have been invaded by the Alamans, Germanic tribe which gave its name to this charming small village on the edge of Dropt. The church of Saint-Eutrope was rebuilt in the 19th century in neo-gothic style. Enter the building and admire its remarkable 15th century wall paintings. Also worth seeing is the wooden market hall from the 16th century and the one known as "aux prunes" rebuilt after having burned down in 1855. If you look carefully in the village, you will discover a dovecote at the foot of a majestic tree. It is located in a private park but it is so beautiful that its picture can be seen on many postcards of the department.
