This commune groups together two villages, Montrozier and Gages, full of history. The castle of Montrozier (clearly visible from the RN 88) with its Romanesque chapel dates from the 13th century. Built by the counts of Rodez on a hillock proudly commanding the Aveyron valley, it dominates a village that has remained picturesque, with its narrow streets, its white stone houses and its listed 15th century bridge. Near Gages, excavations have uncovered Gallo-Roman villas. The marshal of Sévérac was assassinated in 1427 in his 15th century castle which is now a ruin. In Gages-le-Haut, the church with its Romanesque nave has a beautiful portal and 3 ancient gilded statues.
