On the border of Lévézou and the Grands Causses, the commune is composed of several villages, hamlets and isolated farms. It begins at the edge of the Lévézou plateau at an altitude of 1,100 m, and descends towards the valleys of the Muse and the Tarn, at an altitude of 340 m. The small town has two listed monuments, the Romanesque church of Saint-Quirinus dating from the 12th century and the dolmen of Puech, and two monuments listed as historical monuments, the castle of Montjaux and the Bermont house, both dating from the 15th century.
