It is in Goutrens, that in 1867, a farmer discovered a real treasure: more than 20 000 Gallic coins and some small ingots. A real wealth, as much by its value as by the historical and scientific information that it brought. Samples are distributed in several museums (in Rodez, Paris, Toulouse...) and a part was melted. In the commune, two museums: the Georges Rouquier space, director of two films shot in Goutrens(Farrebique and Biquefarre), and the Nos Campagnes autrefois museum which exhibits scenes of life in the countryside before 1950.
