Standing for a thousand years on its volcanic peak, the castle dominates Espalion and the Lot valley, and offers an exceptional panorama from the Causses to the Aubrac. Having undergone no transformation, it bears witness to the conditions of military life in the Middle Ages. Today, "knights" retrace the attack and defence of a fortress during the Hundred Years War. Visitors can discover the art of warfare in the Middle Ages, thanks to animations including archery demonstrations, archery initiations for children and creative workshops.

If you spend our holiday in the it really is the place where you need to go to spend an afternoon. The activities are truly exceptional: funny, intelligent, lively. The fashion shoots of cannons and couillard are very impressive. Al final, guided tour by the conservative himself is friendly. It shows us antique objects that you can touch (it is rare) and you can chat with very freely. Passionate history it is really friendly and for parents who want to please their children it is one afternoon relaxation guaranteed: a game is organised with children where they can have a diploma of chevalier or lady and all afternoon they will be costume.
This castle is that delight.
