The commune is the gathering of two villages. The first is perched near the remains of a fortification, three towers connected by a wall, and a 17th century castle transformed into a presbytery. To reach Mandailles, you have to cross the Mossau and go around the puy de Barry. Mandailles offers in some places an unobstructed view of the Castelnau-Lassouts dam; a paradise for fishermen and walkers whose navigation nevertheless requires great caution, as the river Lot which feeds it carries many tree trunks. This lake is bordered by a road that can be driven from Castelnau-de-Mandailles (except in rainy periods).
