On December 16, 2004, the inauguration of the Millau viaduct freed the village from the famous traffic jam on the N9, which until then had been its sad reputation on the holiday route. From now on, people come to Aguessac of their own free will, to enjoy the pleasures of the river, to taste a glass of wine, or to taste a handful of cherries. The village can indeed boast of giving birth to 2 good productions. The Côtes-de-Millau wines, classified as AOP, come from vines that grow on terraces on the hillsides and are available in all colours. As for the cherries, they turn red around the first week of June between Aguessac, Peyreleau and Rivière-sur-Tarn.
