This is the world's largest open-air talc quarry. At an altitude of 1,800 metres, it offers lunar landscapes.
Above the village, at an altitude of 1,800 metres, lies the world's largest talc quarry. You can visit this open-cast mine, with its stepped white deposits, by coach, with an official guide. In this immense circus with its lunar landscape, titanic-sized machines work to extract the softest, most gentle rock in existence, from April to November. Reservations can only be made online. A fantastic journey before discovering the Talcaneô museum.
