Luzenac is a small village located in the heart of a valley. Any small village ? Well no! Luzenac is very famous in Ariège, in France and in the world. Its talc mine is the largest talc quarry in Europe, no less! The village hosts a huge factory in charge of exploiting the precious white ore. And of course, we mustn't forget its football team (yes, we don't only play rugby) which is famous and which was in the news a few years ago because the lack of a stadium prevented the team from reaching the Ligue 2. Fabien Barthez, the world champion goalkeeper of the French team was even one of the co-directors.
