If you're looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, this could be the place for you. The Haut-Couserans is a tourist region in the Ariege that has preserved its farming and livestock-raising traditions, with the Salat, Alet and Garbet valleys running through it. This is where you'll find the resort of Guzet, above the villages of Aulus-les-Bains and Ustou, facing a barrier of mountain peaks that form a natural border with neighboring Spain, in a fir-tree wooded environment. The ski area comprises three sectors: Combe de Guzet, Le Freychet and Prat Mataou (dedicated to children in day care).
