The Scala is an old Italian-style theater created in 1828 by four nuns. Located in the narrow streets of the center, it was the convent of the Augustinian nuns. It was then sold during the Revolution. The outside of the building does not look like much, but inside, we discover a real little jewel. It is classified by the buildings of France for its fabulous stucco decorations and its ceiling realized by the Vosges artist Gaston Save. The place, a real architectural jewel, is worth a visit. It was closed in 2018 to the public, when the new cinema opened.
