Created in 1822, the Museum presents 30,000 works from prehistory to the 21st century. It is certainly one of the most important museums in Eastern France, as much by its quality as by the size of its collections. We are in the presence of a contemporary building that opens on collections of archaeology, ethnography, classical paintings and contemporary art. The museum presents a wide range of European painting from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Visite faite hier, le lieu est vraiment intéressant et l’architecture atypique. Les jardins en extérieurs sont vraiment superbes. J’y retournerai avec plaisir . Le gros plus, musée gratuit le premier dimanche du mois.

An art museum which has several times and several kinds. There is something for everyone. You will learn there in a fun way and the rooms are spacious and pleasant. It is a pity that it does not have more temporary exhibitions. A good museum to visit.
