FÊTE DE LA SAINT-NICOLAS

In eastern France, Saint Nicholas is almost more popular than Santa Claus. If you are in Epinal at the beginning of December, go to the streets of the town centre to watch the parade of colourful floats! Mainly for children, this festival is part of the local folklore. More than 60 floats and bands make up the procession which runs for almost 3 km. In a friendly atmosphere, families come to admire the costumes and creations of the participants. A parade of floats and fireworks: this is an event not to be missed.
