The origins of the village of Roquefort, le Fort sur le Roc, date back to the 11thcentury . Located on the Limousin route to Santiago de Compostela, the village has preserved a magnificent architectural heritage, with buildings to be discovered along its narrow streets, including the church of Sainte-Marie, classified as a historic monument, the Château de Foix, built between the 13th and 14th centuries, and the village's arenas. The surrounding pine forests are ideal for hiking and cycling.
