According to the Messinian chronicler Philippe de Vigneulles, the village of Saint-Julien-lès-Metz already existed in Gallo-Roman times. The different periods of history indicate a painful past where the village has always known how to rebuild itself: wars, destruction, looting, fire, annexation, bombings... The rural village of the 1950s has given way to an attractive and authentic suburban town. Today, this small town of 3,500 inhabitants offers a dynamic living environment where many areas have been rehabilitated, such as the Tannery, and more than 400 companies are located there with many leisure facilities.
