Boasting a lake of over 3,000 hectares, the Lac de Parentis-Biscarrosse, or Lac Sud, Parentis-en-Born combines tranquillity with the pleasures of the coast. Gastronomic delights, walks or bike rides, fishing, water sports, swimming... This small town has everything you need for rest and recreation. Drilling in 1954 revealed the largest oil field in Western Europe. Still being exploited today, it is the largest sublacustrine deposit in mainland France. In summer, numerous events are organized, including the Fêtes du lac and the largest Féria in the northern Landes at the Parentis-en-Born arena.
