Considered the green lung of downtown Metz with its 5.4 hectares, the Plan d'eau appears as the main summer gathering place. While sportsmen and women have a blast in the skate park or on the city stadiums, strollers take advantage of the path to go for a bike ride, walk or rollerblade. The children's playground and merry-go-round are crowded during the summer months. You can also take advantage of this to have a drink at the nearby refreshment stand. And why not rent a pedal boat for a nice ride on the water and see the city differently?

The Collectif Art association, formerly Dada, founded in 2000, is involved in the development of Brazilian and hip-hop culture around capoeira, batucada and hip-hop dance, not only in Metz but throughout the Lorraine region. The association has won several national and international dance competitions. Capoeira classes are held on Wednesdays from 3 to 4 p.m. for children at Les Arènes de Metz, on Wednesdays from 8 to 10 p.m. for adults at Les Arènes, and on Fridays from 8 to 10 p.m. at the Saint-Symphorien gymnasium, also for adults. Batucada classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays from 8-10pm at the Saint-Symphorien gymnasium. Hip-hop dance classes for children are held on Wednesdays from 4pm to 6pm at Les Arènes. For teens and adults, they take place Wednesdays from 6pm to 8pm and Saturday mornings from 10am to 12pm at Les Arènes. At the same venue, dancehall classes are held on Saturdays from 4pm to 5:30pm. The association also offers batucada and capoeira dance shows, so don't hesitate to contact them. Come and share the art of capoeira and batucada dance with us, in a spirit of joy and good humor!

The Gobelin cave is located in a courtyard in the rue des Clercs. Everything here revolves around the board game! This 300 ^m2 space has something to delight young and old, from role-playing enthusiasts to Fantasy enthusiasts. We like to meet up with friends at the café-jeux, which covers nearly 150 ^m2 and offers more than 300 sets of boards. Comfortably seated on the leather sofas, in a cosy setting reminiscent of steam-punk and retro-futur styles, we enjoy a variety of activities! The Opéra-Théâtre de Metz Métropole is one of the first theaters built in France, and the oldest still in operation. With a capacity of 750, it offers a varied program of opera, ballet and theater.

Get on your bike for a ride on the banks of the Moselle! The blue way can be taken in Metz by the Eblé bridge. Several routes are available. The route from Metz to Corny-sur-Moselle for example, round trip is about 40 km. Don't worry, the path is well indicated and tables for eating are available. Equipped with an electronic studio and a laboratory, the workshop, moderated by Arnaud Bantquin, introduces beginner photographers (Tuesday) and advanced (Monday) to various photographic techniques and approaches. Fort de Queuleu, a witness to Metz's military history, is now a quiet green space. Following the Aurore storm in 2022, part of the fitness trail is now accessible, but the rest remains closed. The site is home to casemate A/caserne 2, a witness to the horrors of the Second World War, where over 1,500 resistance fighters were interned by the Gestapo. The Association du Fort de Metz-Queuleu, founded in 1971, is committed to preserving this memory through a variety of activities.
