In Metz, two skateparks are open to all, and have long brought together a community of skate enthusiasts. The Plan d'Eau skatepark behind the skating rink, with its mixed facilities, is suitable for all ages and levels. The Bowl at Parc de la Seille, a fast-paced course covering 500 m², is aimed more at the most gifted skaters. In fact, this area is very well known, and people come from far and wide to try out a few tricks! Fort de Queuleu, a witness to Metz's military history, is now a quiet green space. Following the Aurore storm in 2022, part of the fitness trail is now accessible, but the rest remains closed. The site is home to casemate A/caserne 2, a witness to the horrors of the Second World War, where over 1,500 resistance fighters were interned by the Gestapo. The Association du Fort de Metz-Queuleu, founded in 1971, is committed to preserving this memory through a variety of activities.
