L’ARSENAL
The Arsenal's great hall is much appreciated by musicians for its "shoebox" acoustics, with the orchestra in the center and the audience around it. It is considered one of the most beautiful concert halls in the world, no less... Two other halls (L'Esplanade and the Governor's Studio) are also available, and are fully modular, so you can rent them for receptions, concerts... The Arsenal's primary vocation is to host the Lorraine Symphony Orchestra and others from around the world, as well as early music, baroque, opera and jazz orchestras; the institution also welcomes other performing arts. The programming is often avant-garde, but here we have the means to welcome the best and the brightest on the international scene! Of particular note is the World Music section, which always reserves moments of unparalleled emotion, as does the Orchestre national de Lorraine. Over the years, it has also become a showcase for contemporary art, with its exhibition gallery featuring the world's most prominent artists.
